The Bike Mentor Project
Facilitated by Dodder Valley Cycling

Looking for a boost in cycling confidence, or willing to share your experience on two wheels?

The Bike Mentor Project is a simple matchmaking service that pairs up people in the general environs of the Dodder Valley Park (Tallaght, Old Bawn, Firhouse, Knocklyon, Rathfarnham) who want to cycle more confidently with local cyclists ready to lend a hand.

There are no formal lessons or obligations—just a chance to meet, ride together, and swap tips as suits you both.

  • Cyclists: Volunteer as a friendly companion for someone getting started.
  • New/Rusty Riders: Get paired for informal rides and road guidance – whether that be quick trips to the shop, the school run, or commuting to work.
  • No pressure: You set your own schedule and level of involvement.
  • Just matchmaking: We connect people—what happens next is up to you!

Sign up below and let’s all help make cycling a bigger part of our community’s daily journey by choosing bikes over cars whenever we can.
